Finance partner for founders. Designed for a successful exit.  Book Intro Call

background

Built by an operator.
Not a broker.

Acquireship exists because I have helped founders just like you - it can be lonely at the top, especially when you are thinking about selling. You might not want your employees to know. Few if any employees know what it takes to sell a business, much less your accountant or bookkeeper. Let us be your key finance partner and sounding board.

Founder & CEO of acquireship

Jonathan Tipton

Our CEO and founder, Jonathan Tipton, is a CFO and deal executive with two decades of experience across the full transaction lifecycle — sourcing, structuring, diligence, sale process, and post-close integration. Over his career, he worked across a variety of industries and all types of deal structures.

His formative years in the industry were spent at a private equity firm specializing in acquisitions of underperforming companies. He has since applied that investing and deal-making lens as an owner-operator and advisor, leading acquisitions, add-on integrations, and company sales.

“I started Acquireship because I know how transformative and impactful a sale can be for the founder, their family, their customers and their employees. And it needs to be done right.”

— Jonathan Tipton, Founder & CEO

The principles behind how we work.

Paid to build, not to broker

Flat, non-contingent fees at every tier. Our compensation is aligned with you. We are not incentived to close a deal quickly on a price and on terms that are not in your interest.

We do the work, not just the advice

A recommendation is where a consultant's job ends. It's where ours begins.

A buyer's-eye view

We've sat on the private equity side. We build your numbers the way a buyer's diligence team will actually read them.

Show the gap, don't just claim it

Most founders don't know what they don't have — until someone shows them specifically, not abstractly.

Let's talk about where your business stands.

30 minutes. No pitch. Just a straight read on where you stand and where we fit.
